Yesterday I learned that Seven Peaks closes at 8pm but they don't post it anywhere. Weirdos.

Yogurt

Today I learned that vanilla yogurt and plain yogurt are NOT the same thing.

I also learned that if a recipe calls for plain yogurt and you use vanilla it will end up tasting like cake. Chicken-potato-cake anyone?

Iggy's

Today I learned that Iggy's is giving away a free reusable tote to anyone who orders one of their non-alcoholic specialty drinks. I thought about buying one because I like reusable totes for some reason, but I opted out.

Cooking and Bulls

Yesterday I learned that I can stay on a mechanical bull for 40 seconds. Fun! And I can cross that off my bucket list, too.

Today I learned how to make raspberry-apple-cream-cheese-danish-dip. YUM.

Idaho

It takes just over 4.5 hours to get from Provo, UT to Rexburg, ID.

I love learning

Tuesday: I learned how 4-D movies work. I don't know all the ins and outs but it has something to do with one lens on the glasses being darker than the other. It is kinda weird to have one lens darker, but it makes for a cool effect.

Wednesday: I learned that the song Where is Thumpkin is to the same tune as Frere Jacques. Maybe I'm lame for not making the connection sooner, but oh well.

Today: I finally learned how to get Lily licensed. Too bad they were closed today.

Ryan's new job

Today I learned when pay day is for Ryan's new job.

Because Every Post Needs a Title

Yesterday I learned all about Drive-in movie theaters. One thing that is cool is that there are upward sloped parking spaces for you car so you can park on a angle making it easier to see and easier for those behind you to see. I also learned that there are not enough woman's bathroom stalls at the Redwood Drive-In.

Today I learned what bonds are. There are very much like stocks and I guess I always knew that (because we always here about stocks and bonds). But bonds are usually for smaller companies that needs funds to start up and assuming the company doesn't go under, you can just turn in your bond for what you paid for it plus interest.

Knowledge is Power

Thursday I learned that the fat children in America hang out at the McDonald's play place.

Yesterday I learned that downtown Magna is kinda creepy. I also learned that you can spot a gas station that sells drugs by comparing gas prices. If the price of gas is 15 cents more than the station across the street, they probably sell drugs there.

More Knowledge

Yesterday I learned all about getting cavities filled. Being numb isn't fun, but the Novocaine shot didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would.

The day before that I learned that public schools could be considered a form of socialism.

Catch-up Time

Let's see. I've gotten behind already. That's okay. I'll catch up now.

Yesterday I learned that Occident is the opposite of Orient.

Saturday I learned all about drug use in Utah Valley from watching the movie Happy Valley.

Friday I learned that 5-0 means police. (That's why the show is called Hawaii Five-O)

And....today....goats milk is bad for babies.

Two more for today

I also learned that there are two main shapes to acoustic guitars. (I also just learned how to spell acoustic.) There is the drednought shape which is slightly more square of a shape and the classical shape.

And I just learned on an online article that 40,000 women in the United States suffer from seminal plasma hypertension. Basically, an alergy to semen because the body over reacts and thinks it is a bacteria or virus and starts to attack the protein inside. Crazy huh? Who would have thought. Cashews and Yogurt

Yesterday I read an online article that mentioned putting cashews in yogurt. I had never thought of that before, but I tried it. And I learned that cashews in yogurt is delicious. You should try it too.

Caring Valley

On Webkinz, when you plant 4 seeds in the Caring Valley, you get to make a special tree to plant in your own garden. The options for the special tree are based on what month of the year it is. My tree is soooo pretty.

Yumberry

Did you know that there is such a thing as a yumberry? It's from China and is very high in antioxidants. It looks very pretty and tasty too. It's one of Jamba Juice's new flavors. I wasn't brave enough to try it today, but I just think it is awesome that there is such a thing as a yumberry.

Carte Blanche

Today I learned the French phrase "Carte Blanche." The translation means blank check and means full discretionary power. I heard the phrase on the TV show Lost. One character said she would help another character if for Carte Blanche meaning she could ask for something - anything - at a later date with no questions asked. I find it a neat phrase that I shall try to use in the future.

Studabaker

Today I learned that the Studabaker company was the only horse carriage company to make the switch from horses and carriages to automobiles. All other car companies started as car companies.

We've all heard the expression: "You learn something new everyday."
I believe it.
