Due to vacationing in St. Louis, I have also seemed to have vacationed from this blog. Let's see if I can catch up.
Sunday Aug. 8: I learned how to play a new game. It is called Mille Bornes and it is really fun. I lost horribly, but that is okay. It was still tons of fun.
Wednesday Aug. 11: I found out my start date for work this fall. Now if only they would tell me my location.
Thursday Aug. 12: I learned about planning funerals. Did you know that if you pre-pay for your funeral, you get the pricing based on when you pre-pay, not on when you use their services? So if you spend $10,000 now and die in 50 years, that funeral you planned could be worth way more than $10,000 in that current market, but you still only have to pay that original $10,000. Neat, huh? And it makes it easier on your loved ones left behind because a large portion is not only already planned, but paid for as well.
Friday Aug. 13: The musical "Showboat" is pretty lame. The plot is alright but it is sooooo long it is not worth seeing.
Saturday Aug. 14: I found out who won Hell's Kitchen. Congrats Holli. I am so excited for her. She is awesome. Though I am very sad that Jay lost. I wish so bad that they both could have won.
Sunday Aug. 15: Today I learned that people will take soda cans and turn them into containers for their weed. They were actually really neat containers - you could keep important non-weed items in these cans too. The salesman was so funny. I think he actually thought Ryan and I smoked weed and were interested in his merchandise. And then Ryan is silly and tells the guy we aren't going to buy anything because we don't need another one. The guy was totally treating us like insiders. Too bad for him we don't smoke pot. Though I do still think it would be fun to own a bong just to own one. But we don't want any suspicion thrown our way.
Today: I learned a friend of mine is getting married today. Yep, just found out today that the wedding is today.
Or...funeral costs could go down and you'll still owe the original amount... ;)
